Reflection Questions
Welcome to the Wisdom of the World - Joan Chittister

Chapters 21through 25

In each religious tradition we read about for today, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam:

It is said that our own faith deepens as we expand our knowledge and acceptance of other religious traditions.  Is this my experience?

What are some similarities between the journeys of conversation of  Buddha, Muhammad, Christ and St. Francis?  What does this say to me about my own journey of faith?

As a result of our exploration of non-Christian traditions, am I drawn to explore any or all more deeply?

If so, how would this help me as I continue my own journey with and to God?  to my fellow faith companions?  to all of humanity?

If I am not drawn to study religious traditions other than my own, do I have any concerns and anxieties about doing so?  What are they?
