Questions
Welcome to the Wisdom of the World - Joan Chittister
Chapter
7 -
“How
Do I Know the Right Thing To Do?”
-
In what ways does the story of Shoun speak to me and my
life?
- What values do I try to live regardless of others’
possible responses? I think of concrete
examples in my life when I lived one or more of these values even though I
feared criticism, ridicule, or even ostracism.
- According to the Buddhist, the “real enlightenment is
coming to understand that we cannot be anything other than what we are. We are all that we have, but what we are is
the stuff of which the fullness of life is made.” What meaning does this have for me?
-
How do I respond the chapter’s leading question – “How
do “I” know the right thing to do?
